Dong Fang Offshore is deeply committed to Taiwan’s offshore wind power industry and values the harmonious development between corporations and local communities. While our operations span across Taiwan, our primary areas of impact are concentrated in Taichung City and Miaoli County. These regions are not only critical nodes in our supply chain but also maintain close interactions with our operations. We are actively engaged in social welfare initiatives by donating resources, organizing volunteer services, and creating local employment opportunities to enhance community well-being and promote sustainable development.

2. 2024 Community Risk and Opportunity Assessment and Response Measures
Based on our assessment of community needs, Dong Fang Offshore has identified the need for support for vulnerable groups and is actively addressing the following challenges and opportunities through donations, partnerships, and volunteer involvement:

1. Supporting the Development of Disadvantaged Children and Youth

   • Recognizing the importance of child and youth welfare in Taiwan, Dong Fang Offshore donated NT$60,000 to the Taichung Guang-Yin Orphanage under the Xiang Shang Social Welfare Foundation. This contribution supports programs that enhance living conditions and educational resources for underprivileged children.

2. Promoting Community Welfare and Social Support Systems

   • To support welfare initiatives spearheaded by the Taichung City Social Affairs Bureau, Dong Fang Offshore donated NT$250,000 to assist vulnerable groups with their basic living needs and provide comprehensive social support, aiming to bring stability and improvement to more families in need.

3. Caring for the Elderly and Socially Isolated Individuals

   • In collaboration with the Taiwan Fortune Community Care Association, Dong Fang Offshore contributed NT$30,000 to support programs focusing on elder care and community health promotion. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of life for seniors, particularly those living alone, by ensuring they receive adequate care and attention.

4. Promoting Employment and Social Reintegration for Rehabilitated Individuals

   • Dong Fang Offshore donated NT$50,000 to the Miaoli Sunshine Humanitarian Concern Association, which is dedicated to helping rehabilitated individuals reintegrate into society through vocational training and employment support. This initiative seeks to reduce social exclusion and promote social equity.

5. Supporting Disadvantaged Groups and Advancing Charitable Initiatives

   • To broaden its support for socially disadvantaged populations, Dong Fang Offshore contributed NT$50,000 to the Chinese Jiouzi Charity Association. The funds will aid various social relief programs, including emergency aid, educational subsidies, and community service activities.

3. Implementation Results and Impact
Dong Fang Offshore’s community care initiatives in 2024 have involved multi-faceted resource contributions. Key outcomes include:

• Resource Investment: Total donations reached NT$440,000, supporting five public welfare organizations and government social service agencies.

• Beneficiary Reach: An estimated 500+ individuals directly benefited, including children, elderly, underprivileged families, and rehabilitated individuals.

• Social Impact: Strengthened local welfare systems, improved child education and development, enhanced elderly care services, and increased employment opportunities for rehabilitated individuals—contributing to community stability and integration.
