DFO Talent Development and Employee Training Program

Dong Fang Offshore (DFO) offers a wide range of training opportunities tailored to meet the diverse needs and skillsets required across various roles in the industry. DFO’s training programs are based on career development plans for each position and are designed to enhance employee competitiveness. These programs include onboarding training, external training for seafarers, leadership development for future managers, and support for individual career growth. They are aligned with DFO’s core values, strategic goals, and long-term vision.

• New Employee Training:

  1. To help new employees quickly adapt to the workplace, DFO organizes onboarding training sessions where designated staff introduce the company culture and environment. Senior employees are also assigned to provide job support during the onboarding period, ensuring a comfortable and supportive work atmosphere for new hires.

  2. On-site personnel receive additional occupational health and safety training tailored to their job responsibilities. This emphasizes the importance of workplace safety and ensures proper implementation of health and safety practices.

• External Training for Seafarers:

  1. For mandatory certificate renewals, DFO provides a flexible shift policy, allowing seafarers to attend training without disrupting operations. In some cases, the company also offers financial support to ease the burden on employees.

  2. In response to industry demands, DFO provides 85% funding support for DPO (Dynamic Positioning Operator) certification training and offers relevant job positions to help employees accumulate sea service experience.

• Leadership Development for Future Managers:
To support sustainable corporate growth, DFO implements a leadership training program for potential future managers. This program deepens participants’ understanding of the company’s culture while enhancing leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. Upon completion, trainees are involved in project-level decision-making to broaden strategic thinking and foster cross-departmental communication.

• Individual Career Development:
DFO offers internal and external training opportunities tailored to different roles. To support employees’ long-term career development, the company regularly invites external lecturers to conduct training sessions. DFO encourages employees to pursue diverse development paths, contributing to the company’s overall sustainability strategy.
